Christmas switch on!

On Saturday the 6th of December the lights on the tree at the Community Centre were switched on. There was a good turn out to enjoy the usual Christmas carols and a special apperance of Father Xmas. Mulled wine and other refreshments were served along with craft activities for the children. A lovely night was had by all.

At our friendship club held in the community centre on the first Thursday of the month I am the youngest member and Ivy is the oldest so I was asked to present a bouquet of flowers to her.

Ivy ferguson the oldest lady in the village turned 100 in October and celebrated with all her friends.

JUBILEE HALL CARLIN HOW needs your support.
The Hall is available for hire. The large hall has a capacity of 150 with a charge of £10.00 per hour and the smaller meeting room with a capacity of 30 is £5.00 an hour.

It has a newly refurbished kitchen and is heated by a gas fired combi boiler. It has a level access and stacking tables and chairs. It is ideal for childrens parties, social events, fairs and sales.

Events taking place include a prize bingo on the Second Thursday of the month in aid of St Helens Church and on the Third Thursday for Hall funds EYES DOWN AT 7.30PM Refreshments are available.
