New Speed Signs on Brotton Road
Speed signs have now been erected on Brotton Road, thanks to a package put together after consulting residents through our local forum CHANGE. The speed is 30 miles through the village with side streets getting new 20 mile signs to improve road safety.
These signs are eco friendly, running of solar power and have been a success in slowing down the traffic in the rest of the borough.
dear sir/madam
you recently introduced a 20mph speed limit on my street, which has had a welcome calming effect . thank you.
However I wish to bring to your attention another safety issue.
Due to cars parked on the Carlin How main road it is IMPOSSIBLE to leave my street and join the main road safely, the parked cars block the view of approaching traffic making joining the main road a hazard.
PLEASE consider double yellow lines on the main road to stop this hazard.
Regards
Paul
