Supermayor Visits Carlin How

On May 6th the Mayor of Redcar & Cleveland, Cllr Mike Findley and the Mayoress, Judith visited Whitecliffe Primary School.  Please be aware that there were 140 children present and I wish to give an impression of the atmosphere in the pictures below but also balancing this with respecting their privacy. If anyone has an issue with any picture please contact me s.d.thompson@tees.ac.uk  07795 826953 and it will be immediately removed.

The Mayor came to see the Skinningrove Jetty film again and to meet the children who played a part in this. He also entertained the children with his own film appearance in “SuperMayor”.

There was a surprise for everyone, when we showed as part of the presentation a film we recently discovered on YouTube featuring the “Bambinos di Whitecliffe”. You can see that film at the bottom of this posting.

A big thank you to the Skinningrove Riverside Building

On behalf of Amanda and Marion, we would like to say a big thank you for letting us use your facilities this afternoon.
It seemed like the old days visiting the school, when my son attended there. And same for Marion whose twins attended ‘the time for you’ sessions , when they were babies.

Are you up for a challenge????????

New Speed Signs on Brotton Road

Speed signs have now been erected on Brotton Road, thanks to a package put together after consulting residents through our local forum CHANGE. The speed is 30 miles through the village with side streets getting new 20 mile signs to improve road safety.
These signs are eco friendly, running of solar power and have been a success in slowing down the traffic in the rest of the borough.
